Why people come back

Networking without the awkward bits

  • Turn up, that is it

No membership fee, no joining process and no obligation to attend every event. Book the lunches that suit you.

  • A proper lunch

Two courses at a good local venue, served at the table. Dietary requirements handled at the booking stage.

  • A speaker worth the hour

Twenty minutes on something genuinely useful to a local business — employment law, finance, marketing, growth.

In the room

How a lunch runs

A full room, a decent meal and conversations that carry on afterwards. Three hours, no lectern-thumping and no compulsory sixty-second pitches. Times are approximate and may differ for our Christmas event — your booking confirmation is the one to trust.

  1. Arrive at a B2B Lunch Club lunch

    12:00

    Arrive

Most people come on their own the first time, and nobody makes a thing of it. Get a drink, find someone to talk to, and take the first half hour at whatever pace suits you.

  2. Networking at a B2B Lunch Club lunch

    12:15

    Networking

No structured rounds, no timer, and nobody going round the room making everyone introduce themselves. It is half an hour of standing up and talking, and listening for the first ten minutes of it is a perfectly good way to start.

  3. Lunch at a B2B Lunch Club lunch

    12:50

    Lunch

Two courses, served at the table, at a venue picked because the food is worth turning up for on its own. You will usually be sat with people you have not met, which does more for a conversation than any amount of organising.

  4. Speaker at a B2B Lunch Club lunch

    13:50

    Speaker

Twenty minutes from somebody with something genuinely useful to say to a local business — employment law, finance, marketing, how someone grew theirs. Long enough to be worth hearing, short enough that the coffee is still warm.

  5. More networking at a B2B Lunch Club lunch

    14:10

    More networking

The most useful half hour, and the one most people underestimate. Everybody in the room has just heard the same twenty minutes, so you have something to open with that is not the weather or the traffic.

  6. Close at a B2B Lunch Club lunch

    15:00

    Close

Away by three with an afternoon still in front of you. Anything useful tends to happen in the days afterwards — there is no next meeting you are committed to and nobody chasing you for referrals.

We cater for vegetarians, vegans and allergies — just tell us when you book.

Good to know

The practical bits

Do I need to be a member?

No. There is no membership fee and no commitment to attend every event. Book the lunches that work for you.

What does it cost?

Each lunch is priced individually and includes two courses. The current price is shown on the booking page for that date.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Tickets can be amended or cancelled up to noon on the Friday before the event, using the “manage my tickets” area of the booking system. After that we have confirmed numbers with the venue, who charge for your place whether or not you attend, so no further changes can be made. Refunds are made minus the booking fee, which is still payable to our booking and payment service.

I have a dietary requirement.

We cater for vegetarians, vegans and allergies. Add your requirement at the booking stage and we pass it to the venue with the final numbers.

Is it just for big businesses?

Not at all. The room is a mix of sole traders, small firms and larger local employers, across every sector.
